How to Create a Successful Video Marketing Strategy

What has now changed is how important video has become on every platform and channel. Video is no longer just one piece of your overall marketing plan. It is central to your outreach and campaign efforts, especially your social strategy. Brands need a video marketing strategy.

Video has dominated social. HubSpot Research shows that four of the top six channels on which global consumers watch a video are on social media.

Why is this important? If you are not creating video, you are likely falling behind. For most videos, the simpler and rawer it is, the more authentic the content seems, and that is what matters to your audience.

Audio is just as necessary due to the dramatic growth in podcasting and music playing platforms like Spotify and Amazon Music - these have become top-line marketing and advertising mediums to drive product messaging to consumers on the go.

So how can you create a video that is marketing success?

Centre Your Video Around the Story, Not the Sale

Make the most of the dynamic power of video by appealing to your consumers’ needs and hidden desires. Scared you will lose leads this way? You can always place a strategic and relevant call to action alongside a tracked URL at the end of your video

Make your Video Feature the Best 10 Seconds Ever

Stats will tell you that consumers attention span will disappear after 10 seconds, so the introduction message needs to be short, punchy and to the point.

Use Humour in Your Video

Done well, a brand can reap the rewards from using humour in their video content. Your message will need to make people smile to be immersed in your product and remember your brand.

Optimise Your Video for SEO

It is vital to enabling embedding on your video as this will help you increase the likelihood of receiving inbound marketing links.

Educate your Customers with Video

One of the most powerful methods you can use for video marketing is to educate your audience. And the great thing is that education comes in many forms.

Make use of Video Case Studies

Is there any better way to show the power of what you do as a business by getting your clients to tell everyone else? If you wait until your competition produces a case study, then you are too late.
