Digital marketing is the future of marketing. The world is going digital at a rapid rate, and marketing is also aligning to match this trend. There are many aspects of digital marketing, that require an extensive workforce. Today we’re here to discuss five of the most interesting digital marketing jobs you can do.

Some of these require prior experience, and some require specific skills. Let’s discuss each of these jobs one by one. There are many marketing jobs that are high in demand, and among them are these five that we would like to highlight.

1. Content Writer/ Content Specialist

A content writer or a specialist is someone who overlooks the creative content and copy for marketing. These include blogs, articles, white papers, ad copies, and more. While the job is quite simple, creativity matters in this job as you need to come up with catchy, attractive content.

Beginners can learn on the job too. If you have a knack for writing, this can be the perfect job for you. Content writer is one of the most important marketing jobs as the brand identity heavily relies on the content. Readers need to be able to get a thorough understanding of the brand through the content, which is the responsibility of the content writer. 

2. Graphic Designer 

A graphic designer is another one of the digital marketing jobs that brings life to a business or brand. They help to visually communicate the ideas to the world and should be highly creative. Graphic designers should also be able to keep up with the market trends, be it minimal, bold, or simple.

As a graphic designer, you will have to design creatives for social media, websites banners, infographics, newsletters, etc. To become a graphic designer, one should possess skills in designing software such as Photoshop and Illustrator, or After effects, Final cut pro, and Premier Pro for video editing. You can also join as a trainee to observe and learn on the job. 

3. PPC Specialist 

One of the most unique digital marketing jobs is the role of PPC specialist. PPC, pay-per-click is a digital marketing strategy. You will also have to design, implement, SEO, and analysis of ad performance.

To become one, you need to have the experience and knowledge in search engine optimization, keyword research, landing page, and website optimization. A highly analytical thinking person is the ideal person for this job. 

4. Social Media Coordinator/Executive

Social media plays a big role in digital marketing. A social media coordinator or executive has to manage social channels in an organization. This includes Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Tiktok, Reddit, Tumblr, and other media.

They have to continuously post on social media, and run advertisements. Meanwhile, observing user engagement and implementing strategies to increase user engagement is also a responsibility.

Becoming a social media coordinator/executive is not difficult for a digital-native person. It’s a job you can learn on the go. However, having knowledge of how the algorithms work in social media can be helpful. 

5. Web Developer

A web developer builds and maintains websites. It’s also one of the most sought-after digital marketing jobs. Every company, business, and the brand has a website nowadays. To become a web developer, you need to have programming skills.

Knowledge in web applications and web programming languages, such as hypertext markup language (HTML), JavaScript (JS), Ruby on Rails, and C++ is a must for them. A web developer should know how to build a user-friendly, easy-to-navigate site. They should also enable functions in a website. This can include downloads, forums, payment gateways, etc.
